What am I talking about?

Dreams.

I don’t mean the ones that you have at night (I can’t seem to remember mine, though I’m sure some of you can – but those aren’t the ones I’m talking about anyway!)

I’m talking about the ones that keep you inspired and motivated to keep moving forward even when things don’t go your way.  The dreams that open your eyes wide with excitement in the morning.  The dreams that make you giddy with anticipation as you move through your day.

My Carolina Today is a new show on NBC-17 focusing on Central Carolina. So, why am I telling you about this? Well, if you’re in the area, this an interesting show to keep up on local events, trends and information.

Oh heck, whether you’re local or not, I wanted to share this information with you because I was a guest on the show! I was involved in 2 segments. The first segment was about a new social media platform called Togetherville™. Sharon Delaney called and asked me if I would research the platform and come and give my opinion on the air.

Have you ever had a time in your life when you’re simply going through the motions without passion?

I started out my business, The BUZZ Builder, extremely passionate about what it is that I do and was thrilled every time someone would make changes that made a significant difference in their business! I lived for it, it was exciting, exhilarating and heart-warming.

And then it happened…

I looked around and couldn’t find my passion. Not only for my business, but for anything. In fact, by the time I realized that my passion was waning, I had fallen at least 5 miles into the Abyss of Blah. (The Mariana Trench is over 6.86 miles deep, so, this is TOTALLY possible.)

So, where did my passion go? Any why in the world am I sharing this part of my life with you?

I know…

What in the world do vegetables have to do with succeeding in your business?

Several months ago, I read an interesting article about eating your vegetables. The author stated that when he was young, he would eat his meat with flourish and sit for an eternity staring at his vegetables. He knew that his mother wasn’t going to let him up until he ate them because they were good for him and yet he would put it off.

Earlier this week, I was on a monthly support/coaching call for LYLA – Love Your Life Again when we started talking about how to get all that you have to get accomplished done as well as keep up with what’s new in your industry. I suggested that people use RSS feeds and Google Alerts to have the information come to them. As there seemed to be a little confusion about what they were and how they could save a person time, Laura Posey asked me to write an article to explain.
