Quick Tip #1 – Wordpress
Welcome to this week’s BUZZ Bit and a Bagel. Just a plain bagel today, but it doesn’t mean the tip is going to be plain. I want to tell you a little about Wordpress. If you’re familiar with blogging software, there are tons of options out there for you, but Wordpress has amazing capabilities. So, I would like you to check it out.
If you go to Wordpress.com, you can go ahead and start your blog in a matter of minutes. But, if you would like to download the software, you can do it for free! If you go to Wordpress.org, you can download the software and upload it onto your own server. You can actually integrate it into your current website and have a blog that’s attached right to your website. Or, you can upload it and Wordpress can function as your website. It really can!
And if you want to check and see because you’re thinking to yourself, “Hey, I mean, is it going to look okay?” YES, it’s going to look okay! There are thousands of templates out there for free. If you would like to take a look at a customized Wordpress site, you can look at mine at TheBUZZBuilder.com. I downloaded the software from Wordpress.org (it costs nothing), uploaded it onto my server and I customized it. And now, I am able to have a very robust website with blogging attached to it.
