Are you using TweetDeck? If you’re not, then hold your horses, I have another app for you to check out. (I know, crazy, huh?)

Seesmic is extremely similar to Tweetdeck. In fact, they are so similar that it doesn’t make much of a difference which one you pick unless you have more than one Twitter account.

Here, let me explain…

Personally, I like the intuitiveness of TweetDeck. But, both TweetDeck and Seesmic both have the same basic functionality. You can group people you’re following, you can integrate with Facebook, etc.

The biggest difference between Seesmic and TweetDeck is what makes Seesmic a Wicked cool app. If you are one of those people that has more than one Twitter account, Seesmic allows to control all of your accounts in one window. WICKED!!

Now, as I only have one Twitter account (@deidrehughey), TweetDeck works just fine for me. I did, however, download Seesmic in order to test it out before writing this blog post.

Once I downloaded the program, I noticed another obvious difference – aesthetics. Aesthetically, you may have a preference as TweetDeck tends to be more “engineered” where Seesmic is, well, marketably slick and pretty.

I truly enjoy my TweetDeck, but the ability to control more than one Twitter account, may make Seesmic your desktop application of choice. If so, then you can say that you heard about it from Deidre’s Wicked Apps post!!
