Okay, I’ve shared information about URL shortners before and my preferred shortener had been is.gd primarily because it was soooo short!

But bit.ly, well, bit.ly is just a little bit different. No, no – scratch that. It’s wickedly different!

So, what makes this shortener so different?

Your Own Account
By setting up an account with bit.ly, you’re able to save your shortened URLs and use them again and again.

Share With a Click
With the click of a button, you can send the new URL along with a message directly to Twitter, Email, Gmail or Facebook!

Track Your URL
Oh, yeah, and bit.ly will track how many times the URL has been clicked AND where the URL was clicked (LinkedIn, email, Facebook, etc.)

So, if you’ve ever wanted to know if anyone is paying any attention to your tweet or status update, now you can get the information you were looking for!!
