You know, there are ways to get involved in social media that take very little work on your part but still give you some of the benefits of social media.

Tip #1 – BlogTalkRadio
You don’t have to be a host on BlogTalkRadio to take advantage of the platform. There are over 10,000 radio hosts on BlogTalkRadio covering a wide range of topics, many of which are on a constant search for guests.

1. Search through the shows and find some that fall into your range of expertise.
2. Listen to the shows and decide whether the show is a fit for you.
3. Contact the host and suggest yourself as a guest.

1. Begins to connect you with the person writing the blog
2. Allows you create a backlink to your site thereby improving your SEO
3. Increases the likelihood that the blogger or other commenters will check out your site

Obviously, just as with a radio program, not all blogs are built alike and you should take care in deciding where you will spend your time and write comments.
